Hi there,
I have a 04 Cav with 64K. Transmission runs smooth(auto). While over 50 and coasting, engine sounds like "jake brakes" until under 50. Under 50 there is no issues. If I shift into neutral while over 50 there is no noise. I believe it maybe a sensor. Anyone know of this issue??
Might be an inner CV joint on one of your axles.
Check them and let us know.
I think I have found it. CV joints are good. Thank you for the tip!!! While looking at CV joints I found exhaust suet around header. I also found that same noise is based on RPM. Back pressure from muffler causing exhaust to build and cause a leak at header. Time to upgrade!! I am researching for that now!!
Thanks Weebel!
ha ha no problem, but if your header is bad I dont see how the muffler could cause it, it almost had to be something else.
