Greasing caliper bolts
Tuesday, March 30, 2010 10:29 AM
Hi
I had my front rotors and pads changed but the caliper bolts were not greased. One bolt was sezied but after much effort, it unseized. It was then tightened but all four bolts weren't greased. Would this cause problems later? And by the way, there is no squeaking, just a slight squeak while stopping going down the driveway.
Thanks

It did for me. I changed my calipers once and forgot to grease the slide pins/bolts and one of them stuck and wore one of my pads down unevenly. I was then forced to replace both pads. I would recomend greasing them if you just changed your breaks. It might save you a hassle down the road.
