I am working on a friend's 2001 grand am and it has the ld9 in it, and it runs fine most of the time, but all of a sudden it will start to drop rpm's and seems to miss. I had it on the scanner and watched iac, rpm, and stft and the iac seems to be working, increases steps accordingly, but the stft goes - 13 and more but I'm not positive how much.
She said it's done it since she had the cat replaced, and it was replaced again after that weeks later, and now it sounds like its breaking down inside again.
I ohm the injectors and all are 14.6-14.7 except for #1 which was 14.1 I'm pretty sure injector 1 is hanging open causing the rich condition and bad gas mileage, and since its throwing too much fuel into the mix it's burning up the cat.
Does anyone have specs for ld9 injectors?
Also if they are out of spec I will be looking for some if someone knows of any for sale.
