Soo my pass side power window is done, and had a few questions. It will go down fine, but then when you try to put it up will go only a few inches then stop..try again aftera while with the car on and it will go another inch or soo. The higher the window would go up the weaker it would get, and now its stuck about 6 inches down and wont go up any further but will go down fine still.
If the motor was bad, would it be able to go down fine or does it sound like a short or maybe the switch?
My vote is that the motor is bad. The OEM motors get weaker with age and in spite of the clockspring in the regulator that assists it, it still takes less power to lower the window than raise it. If you've determined the glass isn't binding, and you can get the window up if you "help" it by grabbing the glass and lifting, then I'd replace the motor. This isn't a fun task as they're riveted in, but you can do it. - Mark

Our cars seem to have similar problems it seems haha...
I also vote motor. My driver's side died years ago with the exact same symptom, passenger's side is doing the same thing now. I had to use AC today, not sure it would go up when I got home from work
We've done the helping route already, pulling does help. Or try letting it sit a few hours if you haven't yet. Mine is also worse in hot weather, so maybe try yours when it cools off a bit.
