idling and map sensor issue
Thursday, July 01, 2010 10:40 AM
i am having some idling issues with my 01 2.4 cav. Have replaced tps recently and was checking the volt readings from the map. checked with car off ign. on and had no prob. Started car and idle got rough and erratic MIL came on throwing map circuit malfunction and map circuit high. I thought maybe I fried the sensor but this does not seem to b the prob b/c I replaced the map and I'm still having these issues. It makes the car a bitch to drive in stop and go traff but issue isn't prevalent when @ highway cruising speeds. Any advice/help is appreciated or if you guys would point me to a shop that could shed some light. Thanksjeffedgar26@yahoo.comi am having some idling issues with my 01 2.4 cav. Don't bother posting on this 1. Just goes to show that you can't overlook a speck of dirt in the vacuum port!
