if that ill wait till i deploy and get a cobalt
but having a 1.5l car before my cav it would scream
but the cav is just a gas leaking slug with out power

2.2 with 3 speed autos are the worst (my ex had one, if it had 100 whp, that would be generous) but if you dont want to do an engine swap (love my eco, ld9 was in my old sunfire, loved it) you are probably SOL...

dumb question but should be asked, but has it gotten a tune up recently? You said fluids were done, but how about plugs, air filter, fuel filter etc? If Im not mistaken those motors should be at 120 whp, which sucks but should be enough to keep up with traffic. Get it tuned up, and if you still think its slow, do a 3100 V6 swap,

the car is just slow...

Check the plugs, do a compression test, make sure the injection system isnt dirty as hell.. stuff like that..

but either way its gunna be a slug.

Turn off the A/C, if it's on. Otherwise, welcome to the world of 2.2L OHV 3/speed, complete with cruddy fuel economy too.

As has been said, the 3 speed 2.2L is just not a peppy combo. However, if it used to have a lil more "umpf" to it before, and has recently become doggish, then that would be more of a concern that it needs a tune up or could have a potential problem. Everybody has mentioned some good suggestions.
