What's up guys...

I've had my car for about six years now. Its a 1996 cavalier 2.2. Over the years, this car has got me through hard times, college etc. throughout the years, i kept the maintence up oil change, tires, tune ups, you name it. Well about 2 weeks ago, i decided to purchased a reman engine. I paid 2,700.00 I have a 3 year parts and labor warranty with it. The car runs good. Now, here's the bad part. Just the other day there was a really bad rain storm... While driving, i was cut off the road, and forced to drive through a really high flood. Come to find out, my electrical wiring and engine computer is now all messed up. The repair will cost 1,000 for new wiring and new computer reprogramming.... really dont want to put anymore money into car. Guys, is this repair really worth doing, or should i just do a insurance job. i really do need my ride for work purposes though. Any advice would be great!

Oh ok. Well shop is all done with the electrical wiring. Trrw, they're putting in a new AC Delco computer for me. After all said and done, my ride will be A-1! with the new motor, computer, and electrical wiring.... I'll be able to get many more years out of my car.
