hows your coolant? Very easy to overlook changing it, very expensive if you let it go. Seems like you know enough to know what to do though,

i did fluid as you said after i changed the thermostat, brake fluid is now changed, but will be changed again once i do my rear disk conversion and ss lines all around, i think i wont mess with my timing chain till i noticed something wrong, and how do i go about clean my throttle?

take off your upper intake manifold and use a soft cloth and some throttle body cleaner to get off the oily residue. Alternatively, you can seafoam your car.

When the timing chain snaps on an ecotec.... it is rarely pretty. ve seen engines destroyed. If you went into the head, I would have suggested going a little farther and replacing the chain.

I abuse the hell outta mine and it still runs awesome. 115k on the clock, just doing routine maintenance. I cant say my trans is golden though, I'm on my third.

Why in the world would you replace rack and pinion unless you loss power steering??

just changed my rotors and my upper front strut mounts because were still pretty worn out, uppers completely feel apart once i pulled them off, lol, and i just changed my boots and spark plugs i think about 2,000 miles ago. belt and tranny are now on the list, how do i go about flushing the tranny and filling it back to spec?

I would say do the timing chain, I just replaced a motor because the timing chain snapped, and he has LESS then 100,000 on his whole car. Actually about 69,000 when the first chain snapped. Save the money, and do the chain, especially since ur gonna do it for good measure, and wont have to worry about your heads getting smacked and having a slippery slope downwards if the chain does snap, but thats my opionion. Goodluck!

Tranny is a little harder, there is a plug on the side of the trans (torx female head i think someone correct me if im wrong please!), that has to be removed, and while ur filling the tranny, when it spills out of there, your full. Just get a funnel with a long tube on it so you can fill ur trans without spilling it everywhere.
