Just looking for some general ideas to consider. Ever since my g/f had her fuel system dismantled and flushed out (due to sugar, thanks schmucks!!), she started getting a weird UFO sound while driving. It gets louder the faster the car goes. It sounds like a rubbing/vibrating nose when you are inside the car. I've had the hood popped, revving the car, and you can't hear it. I've tried running along side the car, but i can't hear it outside. You can only hear it from the inside of the car, usually past 10/15mph. She had her front pads/rotors replaced a couple months ago, so I know its not those. I was thinking a hub bearing, but it doesn't make a squeek or have a distinct noise from either side. There are no drivability issues, no engine lights, nothing out of the ordinary. Just a rubbing/UFO-esk noise?
Any ideas?
Correction, it wasn't after the fuel system issue, it was after she drove into very deep water, and quickly backed out of it. Possible that water caused something inside the hubs to rust?
UFO sounds. Like an echo, wind noise that sounds out of place? Hard to describe, lol
