alright guys heres my dilemma. occasionally the car dies. it wont crank on its own and the fuel pump iss running. it will crank off starting fluid and sometimes be ok or it will be like my current situation and wont stayy running. new fp relay and new cat as of yesterday because the ceramic was broke up in it and i thought perhaps a piece was blocking flow and shutting her down. one crazy thing, not always but the majority of the time it goes down in the exact same spot 2 miles from my house. 96 ohv. o and since i am currently sweating my balls off on the side of the road if you would like to text your solutions to me its 9037029262. thanks guys

Remove your ignition control module and take it to what ever your local parts store of choice is and have them test it.

Would it be the control module seeing as it will fire off of the starting fluid each time? but it does nothing with out it? not questioning your diagnosis just brainstorming.

Is it throwing any check engine lights?? Sounds like ur having a problem with a sensor. Could be crank or cam sensor. I had the same issue with my girls old car. Wouldnt run during wet weather, other dry days, would run fine. The reason I say that is bc it would crank and crank and crank, but never turn over. Never tried starting fluid tho. Try and see if you have any codes, that may lead u in the right direction. But im willing to bet one of ur sensors is taking a dump, and killing ur car. I could be wrong, but I would start there. Goodluck.
