i was driving 97 cavy 2.2 and motor just shut off i tried restarting it wouldnt start didnt hearany noises toook valve cover off all rockers are moving but now when i turn it over it just doesnt sound right any help ????? please thanks
Have your battery tested, and take off your alternator and have that tested as well.
Try to describe the sound the car is making when you turn it over. Clicking? Banging? Knocking? Ticking? Squealing? Squeaking?
could be the fuel pump

Wow, dude, for a hot second, I actually forgot we were on a GM forum... Wow.... Fuel pump should always be the first guess... Hehe... I must be tired.
I hate our fuel pumps =(
After replacing mine, the pump is LOUD and makes a constant high pitch sound at normal pressures.
Rent a fuel pressure tester from autozone and check that.
