FUEL FILTER HELP ASAP!!!!

i have the fuel filter off, but i cant get the rest of the black "quick connect" out??!!!? how do i remove the rest of this so i just just attach the new filter!?!?

how did you get it off, lol i never was able to i still have the new fuel filter in garage.

iI I remember correct the black part stays on the fuel line. You need a fuel line disconnect tool. You may be able to do it with a couple screw drivers but risk mangling the plastic peice Here is what the disconnect tool looks like. It slides over the fuel line and you push it in towards the fuel filter, it should just pop off once you do. Sometimes they are really a PITA when it gets debris in there. It wont allow you too push the disconnet tool in. Just have to clean it out. Hope it helps

after i got the black part off using a combination of needle nose pliers, screw driver, and force... i was able to use a small screw driver (flat head) to pry on the metal tabs to the clip that was holding the quick disconnect in there. you want to bend them toward the center of the tube. once i had three of them it was pretty loose, then the forth one i was able to get the needle nose and pull it out!

yeah I remember changing my fuel filter, it was a b#tch to get off.
