Alright, so im sure its been covered before, and i did a bit of searching but didnt really find a sure answer.
My car has become.. well... a lot more sluggish than it used to be. i could pull up my hill real easy and pick up some speed, lately it seems like it struggles a little. It isnt dying or anything, just lost a lot of its pep
Im wondering what will ACTUALLY make a difference. I know theres the fuel cleaners and blah blah blah that u can get at canadian tire, but i have doubts about those. Should a standard tune up do the trick? fuel filter, plugs, oil change? Or is general sluggishness helped out by other things aswell?
Im not really lookin for a 100% cure, just some ideas to be thrown around as to what could perk it up a little bit.
Your sig says 210K, is that your mileage? Have you done a compression test lately? Can you get it on a diagnostic computer and sniffer? They're great for seeing what the engine is actually doing, live output from the sensors and ECM, live exhaust analysis. Could be air or fuel starvation (change filters), could need a tuneup. Oil change shouldn't make enough difference to feel.
Sorry havent updated recently, its at 238000 Km, im from canada haha :p And is that all something a local shop could do? i dont really have access to that stuff at home lol :p
