There is not a fuse for the reverse lights. If yours are not working(apparently) either the bulbs are blown, not making proper contact or your reverse light switch on the transmission or at the shifter maybe defective or not making proper contact. Not to confuse you but, with my OLD 1st gen(4spd manual) the reverse switch is at my shifter and needed to be adjusted.I am not sure with the 3rd gens if it at the shifter for automatics or manuals.Maybe some who are more fluent with ur model can chime in on that.

I thought it was the bulbs so I changed them, I still don't have backup lights. I checked the wire and while it is cracked, I don't think it's broken. Someone mentioned it was the green wire that should be for the backup lights. I don't know what to do.

Is yours a auto or manual? If its a manual the reverse light switch on the tranny is bad. Easy fix tho.

It's an automatic.

Well, she needs to check to see if she even has power back there first. If you have a test light, put the car in reverse with the e-brake on, not running, and test the connector going into the socket. Not the socket itself. If you dont have power and the test light does not light up, then your reverse switch is bad. Now If you do, then the actual socket is bad. Also, i cannot tell you where the reverse switch is actually located, as I have never had to replace one before. But thats the easiest way to figure out whats wrong.

On the drivers side of the dash, near the door jamb, there is a fuse block cover, with a fuse for the turn signals and backup lights.

At least that is correct on my 2004 with manual tranny.
