on the 1998 2.4 I was just wondering which way the water flowed to and from the radiator. I assume that the water flows from the water pump through the lower hose into the radiator, and from the radiator through the upper hose to the cylinder head?
Water flows from the top to bottom......thermostat opens, hot coolant goes in, gets cooled flowing down, going back into block

wow, thanks for the reply. I was told the opposite from my auto parts store. However, I checked AllData and you have to be correct because the water outlet has to be removed from the head if you are changing the head gasket that proves that you are right, that's for sure.
