clunk/mount questions

So ive got this MASSIVE clunk on acceleration, or when shifting from drive to reverse. I'm sure its the engine mounts but my question is should I replace all of them?(which im sure would be best anyways).... or has anyone else had this problem and found it to be only 1 or 2 that really needed the replacement?

Hmmmm... i know with trucks and other RWD vehicles a clunk going from drive to reverse and vice versa means the U-joints are worn out.. But motor mounts... hmm.. maybe have a friend help you and watch under the hood and see what is moving and how its moving when you change gears. This could answer some questions.

Either your motor mounts are shot, or your trans mounts are shot. not unheard of. Pretty common on these cars. This is a great time to upgrade them tho

Its TOTALLY the upper engine mount, I took it apart yesterday and the rivets holding the bushing to the cage were sheared off completely. I'll post pics later, for now Ive just jammed some old timing belt in between the bushing and the mount cage the sound is gone but the engine still moves around pretty bad.

You can get a upper aftermarket replacement one $30-$40 dollars. I just did mine a few months ago.
