bleeding a clutch

i replaced my transmission in my car and tried to bleed the clutch on it and it didnt hold any pressure. im not sure how to bleed a clutch anyways lol but heres how i did it. i attached a rubber hose over the bleeder valve and the other end of the hose in the clutch fluid reservoir and had someone else pump the pedal. if someone could tell me how to bleed it or if im doing something wrong i would greatly appreciate it as i really have no experience on how to bleed a clutch and instructional videos are retarded and didnt tell me anything. thanks for anyones time that replies to this.

It's basically the same process as bleeding brakes, also the bleeder valve is for bleeding! You don't take anything off to bleed it....Have someone pump the clutch 3-4 times, then hold it to the floor.....as it's being held to the floor, you open the bleeder valve(with a wrench, turn it open slowly) and the fluid should come out. It's not going to continuously come out, it will lose pressure. When you see it losing pressure, close the valve, and repeat the steps (pump 3-4, then hold, open valve). Do this until you see no more air bubbles come out, just straight fluid.

BTW how is it that you know how to do transmission swap but not know how to bleed a clutch? Just wondering, not hating lol
