Heyyy guys, i have a 98 cavalier z24 2.4 litre 5 speed, i took it to canadian tire for an oil change, and put 40 kms on it by the time i got home, backed it in. Then about an hour later i went to go out again and it wouldnt start, im getting power everywhere but no crank, i turn the key into on mode and all the dash lights come on, turn the key to start and nothing happens, i tried boosting it but still nothing, can anyone help??
Ignition switch is a suspect...
Starter solenoid?? Put the switch in on and jump it with a screwdriver.
it's at CT right now ill find out what the problem is tmrw morning.... hopefully i can doit myself
turns out it was a bent bar in the ignition tumbler... whoda thunk... the guy who had it before me said he tried taking the locking mechanism out... he musta effed it up in the attempt
