hey y'all. i know i haven't posted anything really but i lost my reverse lights they do not even come on... anybody know what the problem could be and if its simple like a switch can anyone give me a clue?
Have you checked the bulbs?

There's also a switch (located on top of the trans, near the firewall) you could check too. Gets dirt build up on it from road dirt, salt, etc...take some electronic spray and clean it out.
Yep, switch on the trans. If you can't clean it and make it work, it's about $16 at your local parts store.

Here is a picture of the switch Just look for that at the top of the transmission. Note: this is only for the manual transmission cars. Even tho it says 2.4, there both the same for the 2.4 and the 2.2 so no worries about that.

nothin wrong with the bulbs... i just changed em both today.. how can i access this switch?
Should be on the top of the trans near the firewall like said earlier. Best thing I can tell you is look for the connector sticking out the top. Should be as easy as un-screwing old one and screwing the new one in, and going from there. Goodluck.
ok... do i access it from up top or what i heard is remove pass tire to access... which would be easier?
Thats a good question. I would say look at it from the top, and see if you can get to it. If its behind the engine, it maybe easier to get it from the passenger side wheel well. Im not 100% sure. You maybe even able to get to it from the bottom of the car.
well i will have to check seein as im workin late today but thanks for the imput mike..
driver side fender well or you can get it easy enough from the bottom of the car. just hooked mine up to the trans when i swapped.
the back up lights on my sisters 02 Z24 are not working also. ill have to check this part out to on hers.
