Hey this is the second day that the p0455 code comes up. just outta the blue it started up. No mods or anything recent.

Now i have only removed and retightend the gas cap and it was fine to work but same thing showed back up on return trip home. whats the most common place to start besides the cap. i prob need a new one since its almost 11 yrs old to my knowledge(got her in 06 soo before idk).
where would i go for that?
i have the p0440 code, i have thrown parts at it. to have it smoke tested mear me is 150+ bucks.
You probably have a vacuum leak... and carb cleaner is cheaper than a smoke test... just saying.

well, there's a sum total crossing $1,000 in parts to throw at an 0440. or, you can have it smoke tested for $150. i'd rather have a direction to move towards than just guessing "hey, this might be it... oh... wait, no, still throwing the code..."

well it hasent shown up in a while. maybe the cap wasnt seating properly. However now the trac light and abs lights are on. i get a random pinging from the brake pedal for about 20secs then the lights come on and thats it. every drive now. i think the abs modualr is bad so i scored a used onepump and all. can i just swap the modual on the front or do i need the whole unit.it seems to torque screw on.

funny u say i had that once before, i had left it unplugged from a oil change but this i feel the brakes pinging with the abs weather i touch or not and sometimes instant some 20mins of driving. so its diff from the prior time. but ill have to see if my buddy has one i can try.
