steering noise when turning left

I am getting this funny rubber to plastic sound when I turn to the left. It is a hard to explain sound, but it is not horrible, but annoying. The vehicle is a 1998 cavalier z24 convertible, and very well maintained. I was thinking maybe lower control arm bushings? is there a boot or something down there on the steering rack or what?

it the noise while driving, or stationary? if its while driving, i'd say youve gt a bad hub bearing. if stationary, id say look at yer strut mounts. thats a starting point.

Rubber to Plastic sound.....that makes me think of a plastic splash shield rubbing against a rubber tire.....get a flashlight and look around your wheels for the black plastic guards, maybe one fell off or came apart
