ok so heres whats going on... 02 LSS sedan ecotec
1. the retained accesory power is screwed up, i figured it was something with the button in the doorway not opening all the way, hauling it open worked but then it got worse, and now after tapping it a bit i knocked the whole assembly out of the hole.. will swapping out the head unit get rid of that?
2. my car seems to buck under WOT coming from lower rpm, had the o2 sensor changed, CEL still reads as the cat is bad (0420 code) nothing else has been done recently
3. my pass side wiper jet doesnt work, lines arent clogged that i can tell
4. on cold starts and until the car has been up to half way up the temp guage for a while when i press the clutch the car will wind down to 500 rpm and labor for a bit before climbing back to 1k does it when stopped and moving, car actually died this morning as a result of it but that hasnt happened in a while
5. lock wont open with the key on drivers side and pass side sometimes wont unlock from the switch but will with the key
thats all i can remember off hand... any help would be great

1. replace the button in the door, RAP is still active even with a new Radio.
2. If Cat is really bad, 02 sensor won't fix the cat, you'll need to replace it.
3. if it doesn't work, it's clogged somewhere, check all the lines from the split (including the 3 way fitting) all the way to the nozle.
4. I had to get a new PCV valve when this happened to mine, some others might have other options to check though. (If it's the PCV valve, it will only get worse, mine eventually died at every stop)
5. Drivers side lock probably became disconnected from the key mechanism, Passenger side motor is probably getting weak, or its rubbing. I've had to rebend one of mine, and also grease up one location to help it move.
Hope that gets you started. Good luck

thanks that helps alot, now i can get to checking those things, and when i said head unit i meant going with an aftermarket one, the coupe had an aftermarket HU in it when i got it and it never had RAP, i'm just wondering if changing to an aftermarket HU would eliminated it anyways

if you don't pull the power for it from the correct fuse, then it will not have RAP. unless you paid a bunch for the wire harness with the RAP built in. (but likely they have the red wire connected to something that turns off as soon as the key is off.)

yeah thats how we did it, that problem is solved, working on the others now

ok, good luck.
