So I am new to this site and already it has me in aw. I just bought a 1995 Chevy Cavalier from my mother for 300 dollars. It is def worth way more it is in decent condition and with a little clean up it is looking much better. I have one main problem with it, at higher revs it bogs down or miss-fires... I have like 3 giant holes in my exhaust (Different spots) Could this could my problem? I planned on fixing it next paycheck, The beast is loud too, because of the holes. I do all of my own work and was looking for pointers. Is there anything I should know about these little machines? I do enjoy the sun roof and cd player that is in it. Though that will be out in the next month for a new deck...

Plugs not gapped right, fouled plugs, bad coil pack, cracked coil pack housing, bad spark plug boots, could be many things.

for misfire check spark plugs (gap and what they look like)
exhaust holes, depending on how bad and where the holes are, you can weld them closed or just pay someone to do it...if it's that bad, go performance exhaust =D

Bogging down at a higher RPM is "usually" a fuel related issue (or plugged cat) but other then that... we cant really help ya much over the internet.
