So I have been referred to this website with the understandment that you guys know it all and you are the best. Don't let me down.
Heres the issue:
My low battery light has been coming off and on for the last few months. Typically it comes on when my car (Pontiac Sunfire 2002 2.2 liter) is at higher RPMs (2-3 thousand), and turns of when the RPMS go down. I popped the hood to so what's up and noticed the battery was 11 years old. I got that replaced and the light still comes off on and randomly as it did before. Now I'm inclined to think that it is the alternator. The main question is,
Will a 2000 Alero alternator fit in my 2002 Sunfire? The belt doesn't squeek and I checked it for cracks and it looks fine. I hope I have provided enough information! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!
P.S. left headlight is out and my right light is really dim only one high beam works on the left side. Fuse? Or bad luck?
Also I am not very car saavy so if you could reply in laments terms that was be AWESOME!

If LD9 and LN2 engines shared an alternator (I cant remember) then you have a chance... the Alero a 2.4 or the V6?
It will not fit. either version of the J 2.2 (OHV or DOHC) uses a different alternator than the LD9 IIRC.
If you have an LD9 and the Alero is an LD9, it will fit. I have a 2000 Alero LD9 in the blue Z24.
if you have an 2.2 Ecotec or in your car and then alero is an ecotec it will work
the only enging that wont is if the alero is a 3400 or the sunfire is a 2200 if the 2 cars have either of those engines wont work
basicly the engine has to be the same engine in both cars
