Fuel Cut?

alright just bought a 98 sunfire,

the problem i am having is that theres a certain point on the gas pedal where it feels like a fuel cut and bucks...... heres a lil background

it has a air to fuel meter installed and freaks out when it buck, and went and got the cel checked and said that the o2 sensor was misreading, i was wondering if that the previous owner took out the stock 02 and replaced it with that one instead of the stock o2..... would that make it buck? it has a jet chip, true ram air, carbon fiber hood, headers, full megan exhaust.... and havent lifted the car to check the bungs with the 02 sensors.....

first post btw so any help would be helpful!!! thanks

Take the jet chip off first.

Check your fuel filter.

Is the jet chip connected to the ecu? And where is it located? And I'm sure the fuel filter is fine cuz it's only at one certain point on the pedal

Pull the jet chip (There a joke on OBD2 cars), if it still does it you probably just have a bad spot in your TPS.
