Break ins

How theft proof are our cars? On 2 different occasions I've had someone a-hole break into my car. Both times something was used to jam the locks and they were able to gain entry into the car. This has also happened to a few of my friends with Sunfires. Is there a way to prevent this?

I had my 04 broken into when I had a pioneer in-dash dvd nav unit. On my next 3 small cars I haven't put anything worth stealing into them &...problem fixed nobody has tried to break in. I don't think there is much you can do to increase physical security short off of set your alarm, if it came equipped with 1, even that's a joke tho. Maybe install an aftermarket alarm system.

Best way to keep your car from getting broken into is to keep all valuables out of sight. Take off the radios face plate. Hide cds, change, whatever. Short of an alarm there isnt really anything you can do the theft proof your car.

All I got to say is cavaliers are easy to break into. Only thing you can do is keep items out of site. Or don't advertize your' your'e car items inside.

All cars are easy to break into.. they have glass windows and the door locks are in doors made out of sheet metal

So basically, the rule of thumb is the same for all cars.
