Hey guys im new to the j body scene( just converted from honda lol) i bought a 2000 z24 and when i turn my heat on the gauges stop working.. anyone ever heard of this happening?

I haven't herd of that happening but my guess it you have a bad ground

i have sort of the same problem, when i start the car every thing works but as soon as i put it in gear the rpm gauge freaks out and goes down to 0 rpmand stays there. cd player shuts off engine temp wont work and gas gauge wont work. changed entire engine wiring harness because the guy that had it befor me didnt believe in getin thing fixed right just cut and wire things up direct, but never made a difference.
