P0300

right, because a random/multiple cyl. misfire code would NEVER be an indication as to why the car's "acting funny".

P0480 is Fan Control Circuit
P0300 is random/multiple Cylinder Misfire
P0480ph I've never heard of before. I think you may be mistaken with that because P0 codes will not followed by letters.

P0480 is a problem with your cooling fan control circuit, relay, or wiring. Could also be a fan motor issue.
P0300 is Multiple/random cylinder misfire which is a big problem.
These are definitely problems with the car. Any P0 code is a problem with emissions control or engine.

Need more info. Year, engine, and describe the problem.

its a 97 4door 2.2 Aut. with power windows and locks. If i turn it on it'll turn on ok. Once i put it in drive and press the accelerator it moves forward a bit then stalls. If it turns on again it'll continue to do the same. The only way that I got it to move was pressing the accel. with hardly any force. and letting it catch speed, after a certain speed i could press it and it'll run fine it's under heavy load i suppose.

With a drivability issue like that, you start with the most obvious code, P0300.
You need Air/Fuel, Spark, and Compression for the engine to run. If one of these things isn't there, or is low/bad, the engine will either run poorly, or not at all.
Based on your description, I'd start with fuel. Change your fuel filter for starters if it's never been changed. If you've never done a tune up, you should check your plugs and wires as well. If they've never been replaced now would be a good time.
Then check you fuel pressure, Key on engine off, and engine running. The spec is 41-47 psi.
If your fuel pressure checks fine, then run some strong fuel system cleaner through your car. Use Chevron Techron, or BG 44k. If doing this helps, then the problem is likely a fuel injector or two.
If this all checks out then do a compression check. There is a specific value, but I'm not sure what it is for the 2.2. However, the readings should all be relatively close to each other.
Pst your results back and we can go from there.
