Isnt it obvious?

yeh it's pretty bad, most likely ill have to replace all the lines that go to it, how hard are those to do along with the filter?
I would clean the lines first with a cordless drill with a brush attachment, then soak the fitting or ends with some liquid wrench before u start tearing it apart to do a full line replacement if u go that route. It being that rusted u might break them and have more drama trying to replace them as a end result.Idk about the line replace being my cav is umm 26 yrs old and not quite the same but, similar design.
that quick connect Bs i got frustrated and started cutting things, i cut half the metal part on the right side, connected a fuel hose with hose clamps to both sides and it works fine, the left side was tough to break, but once it loosened, it came out....idk if the line was supposed to spin or not, but i ended up spinning the filter not the line
That's real smart, use a non-pressure fuel hose where there's metal fuel line... I hope the hose breaks and you run out of gas for being such an idiot.

?? how is that dumb? i used the right hose
maybe we will get lucky and all that fuel he spills catches on fire at one of those street racing things he does. hopefully it catches his, and all the other, cars on fire. that might teach him a lesson. doubt it. douche!
what you did is almost correct, but you also need to install an extra spark plug next to it. It pre-ignites your fuel so its ready to burn faster once it get in your engine... good for 50hp in mustangs, so even more in your lighter vehicle.
If you used used fuel line clamps and not just those worm clamps from the hardware store you honestly didnt do anything that was too wrong. If you used those worm clamps please replace them before you spill fuel everywhere. I look dumb enough for owning a cavalier, I dont need you making the reputation even worse.

I'll be honest, what is a fuel line clamp? I went to google images and searched them both, i used a worm clamp(screw driver one), from google, the fuel line clamps look like the stock factory clamps that come on the coolant radiator hoses which suck when they're used for too long, become weak and i can get the worm one tighter with a socket instead of screw driver.
Fuel line clamps have a solid strap around them rather than one with holes in it like the worm clamp.

Ill add this, the metal part i cut, i DID flare the end of it so the clamp wont slip off unless it loosens first.

I massacred the quick connect part, not just the clip, the whole thing the clip goes into...i tried to bend it all back but the new clip started leaking when i started the car, it was just easier for me this way
