I went out this morning to go to school and when I did my 2003 cavalier ecotec wouldn't start. I have plenty of gas and juice in the car, just seems like its not getting a spark. The engine turns over but won't start. Please help.
i have the same exact problem with my 03... idk what to do aout it bc i was just driving a few hours ago and was getting gas and now it wont start..
Check to see if the injectors are firing....both of you.

i agree with the enforcer. i, too, came out to my car a day after driving it to find that it would not start, no matter how much i cranked on the engine.... just for giggles, go bang on your fuel tank a couple times with a rubber mallet or your hand, and then see if it starts up
turned out to be the fuel pump for me. (02 sunfire coupe about 158k miles)
well i hear the fuel pump when it turns over, how do i check fuel injectors?
Go rent or borrow some noid lights.

okay, where are the injectors located? i have never messed with them before
dakota, my pump still made noise when i turned the key on, it just wasn't pumping enough fuel.
you could take an ohm-meter to the fuel injectors to test resistance, or you can take a screwdriver or stethiscope to the injectors and listen for them to click.. i don't know the exact resistance they need to read but... i'm sure someone here does.
have you tried banging on the tank a couple times before starting it?
yea ive tried that, but idk what to look at, ive been reading through everywhere on the iternet peoples problems like mine, but noone says what the actual problem is they just listed 100s of things it could be lol.. so idk what to do, im having my mechanic lookat it today tho
