Needing a motor for my 03 Sunfire, found a 2.2L ecotec out of a 02 Cavalier. Just want to make sure that is a fit. I was under the impression that anything 02-05 would be a direct fit. If this is not the case let me know. Thanks in advance.

A more accurate observation has never been typed. These should be the starting points before any serious performance modification. What's the point of making a serious performer if you can't control it's power?
Okay, thanks guys. Have a good one.

X, You and Shifted make a valid point...
Our cars were never designed to be performance cars ... but nether were the 55 Chevy, or the 57 Chevy, or the 32 Ford Coupe. See what I mean? Modding isn't necessarily about building a sports car. It is about pushing the envelop, taking your ideas and making them work in plastic and steel. When you open a hood and dive in and get your hands dirty, you change the car, but you change yourself as well.
The Cavalier is the 55 Chevy of your generation. If you think that a modern Cav suspension sucks, you ought to try to control a 36 Ford 4door, with a blown 350!!
If you can't open the hood and work on it - You don't own it, it owns you.
