Two separate questions. I've got a 97 rally sport andthe passenger door sags. I think the bushings are shot. I was wondering if the hinges are the same in the J bodies regardless of it being a two door or four door? The local salvage yard (local as in beinga mile away, very convenient) only has one two door like mine, but somebody already pulled the passenger door & hinges.
Second, is ther an easy way (or what is the best way) to change plug wires? It has a 2.2L engine and looking in the book I have (Chilton's) it appears that the coil packs are on the end of the engine ( I could be wrong) while those on my car appear to be on the back under the intake. I can't see them but it looks to be a pain to change. I change the dogbone the other day and looked up from underneath and couldn't see a way to get them from below.
Thanks.
They're on the back. Change them one at a time from the top. You'll get really dirty doing it, but it's not that bad.

Thanks for the input. I was afraid of that, I'll have to locate another parts car then.
"help" brand (or other generic small parts brand) Make replacement pins and bushings. A bit of a pain in the arse, as you have to cut out the old ones. Best to remove door or strap it too the carand pull them off, pulling the fender off is best. I did a set on mine. One hinge had actually worn the hole too big but I fixed it by welding it back up and around a copper pipe.
if you put the hinges on and it still sags a bit, what I also did was put everything on, close the door and latch. put some strip of 1/8 material ie hardboard or the like under the door to support weight and maintain the gap. Make sure bolts to the door are on and tight.ever slightly loosen the bolts to the body Use a long pry bar or similar. stick it inside the hinge on the body side, try not to get a hold of the door hinge best you can and push down. This will help rotate the hinge up, removing the slack for the sag. likely need a second person to do this with you, but as you pull down tighen up the hinge bolts. if you want spot weld two tacks to kep the hinge fom trying to rotate back down. My drivers door sagged a good 1/4 inch, after doing this you'd think it was off the showroom floor.
