Lately I have noticed a weird noise coming from the driver side wheel area. It usually only does it if i'm going under 20mph, it makes like a grinding noise? Its a very hard noise to explain it isn't a popping noise just sounds like something is rattling or grinding.. PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN!!
I've had what sounds like the same problem with the right front tire on my 2000 for the past 2-3 years. Mine is like a mix between a grind, roar, spin and wobble. All below have been replaced with new parts and i have not had any luck.
Barrings - twice, cv axles, brakes, top motor mount, bottom motor mount, trani mount.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
well thats is very depressing...i have no idea what i could be it is just very annoying!!
jack the car up and spin the wheel if you feel and hear the roughness its a bearing. also grab the wheel and see if there is any play in it. sounds like a wheel bearing. check both wheels as well. noises can trick you. if its the wheel bearing i would do them both its very easy to do as well about 20mins a side. let me know what you find out
i used to have grinding noises when taking off, turned out to be motor mounts i went ahea and replaces all 3 torque mount was easy, top mount was ok but look up a video to tell u how to do it step by step and tranny mount was easy to get out and change but a bitch to get back in but be prepaired for a full day of work
did they sound like that? im pretty sure thats not my problem
to me it sounded like metal rattling around but would only do it taking off and when i went got into it, basically 2500+ rpms but cruising u wouldnt hear anything but like i said i changed my mounts and its quiet now
well i checked my mounts they are good. its definetly in the timing chain. im not sure what though it does it more when warm than cold. hasnt gotten worse and the car runs fine so its just kinda weird.
