Having a weird clunk noise when braking

bought a 98 sunfire about a month ago having a odd issue when i first start the car there is a clunk clunk but then nothing everything sounds fine fluid levels all goo so i go to take off and when i go to stop clunk clunk clunk every time i stop its driving me ****ing nuts but pads and rotors are good its coming from the front drivers side and i can feel it when i press the pedal aswell im out of ideas please help me lol

If it is an engine noise check your oil condition and level. If it is brake related I bet it is from the drum and shoes.

^well that doesnt help him much, he knows its not the engine....check to see if the caliper is leaking, brake fluid will make pads/rotors sticky....also check tie rods/ball joints and see if theyre loose

see i was thinking possibly the ball joints or tie rods im ordering some new tie rods fixing to replace the rear drums and shoes along with front rotors and pads and drain all brake lines and put some new fluid in but i noticed something else when i let my brother drive it i can not hear it from the outside of the car just the inside what about the brake pedal assembly itself ????
