Front end shake
Thursday, May 12, 2011 12:20 PM
My car has a bad shake in the front end. Its only noticeable at speeds over 35mph and goes away when i let off the gas. Shake started occurring just prior to me taking it in to have the ball joints and tie rod ends replaced. This didnt fix the problem like i thought it would. Since being in the shop i have changed a bad axle and bad transmission mount. Im stumped as to what else could be causing the shake. Any ideas?

wheel alignment? tires balanced? How old are the tires?

it does need an alignment, however i ruled that out due to the problem occurring prior to changing the tie rods and ball joints. The tires are almost two years old now, and to be perfectly honest I've only had them rotated and rebalanced once.
