i got a problem. i just recently blew up my 2.2 motor in my 96 cavalier. i bought a 2.2 out of a 95 cavalier. i just got done with the swap and i have one plug wire on the back side of the motor i cant find a sensor for. i was just wondering if anybody can tell me the difference iff any in the 95 and 96 years 2.2 blocks. what sensors they came with or without, and if any sensors where switched to a different style.

ya they are different, the coolant passages are different, and the icm has 1 extra plug

You are missing the cam sensor on the 95, there is a whole in the block for it but it should be plugged. Dont bother trying to put a cam sensor in though, cams are different and it doesnt have the right notch. Unless you have emissions checks to pass I would just drive it. They still run fine you just dont have sequential injection now
