Ok, here's the story line..
Today i wired my radiator fan to a switch, i got the "power" wire from the power wire for my fog lights which are the cheap pep boys ones. It worked fine seperate, but together the 20A fuse blew which is normal but i didnt try them both at same time until later that night. Coming home from school tonight I was gettin on it kinda hard but not really ripping it, just 4th gear to about 5000Rpms, shifted to 5th and slowed down to 60Mph. At the time i had the fogs on, i put the radiator fan on by switch, after few minutes boom check engine light. Car ran fine so i didnt worry about it, both switches have lights on them when they are on, both went out..ok blew fuse no big deal. Shut the car off and on again, the CEL is gone...
I'm just kind of confused at what happened...the fuse blowing and CEL coming on happened about the same time. What is wierd to me, they are pep boys fogs so nothing is connected to the computer, just to the battery. Got home replaced the fuse, it blows when both are on at same time, but Ok when alone so i gotta just wire it again, no big deal.
Maybe when the fuse blew it sent a surge or something back to the battery throwing a sensor or something? is that possible?
Also on the way home i did a 2nd gear slow to redline just to check for misfires cause i know sometimes the cel flashes when misfiring then stays on after.
