SIMPLE SPARK PLUG QUESTION
Sunday, June 12, 2011 10:31 PM
What spark plugs do you guys run? I had Bosch platinum and they were junk kept failing . I bought autolite this time they are double platinum. I would get ac delco because they are the factory plug but they are 6.49 a plug which I think is kinda high so what you think of autolites and what do you prefer? They are in a 96 cavi 2.2l thanks guys

I run the Bosch iridium 4 in my 04 2.2 Eco and the car runs really good with those as for autolites I have always had problems with those and as for any other kinda plug I would mention would be a ngk plug but don't know if they have a application for ur car.....

Ngk plugs. They do have an application for all J-bodys. Recommend the g power plugs or up.

I would run ac delco but 7 bucks a plug is a little ridiculous. And I woukmld have got ngk but they didn't have any in stock. I've had trouble with Bosch and autolite one had good luck with champion and ngk. But the reason autlite were bad before were cracked outta the box. So I assume its because someone dropped them

AC Delcos for a stock engine. NGKs for a boosted engine. Either fork out the cash for a quality AC Delco plug or stop complaining about the cheaper plugs.

Someone is bitchy. Ain't easy to fork out the money when you aunt got it. 30 bucks for stock plugs is ridiculous and so far autolites are doing fine

I personally don't run anything other than NGK copper plugs.

Never been a fan of the platinum or iridium plugs, always seemed to have an issue with them missing.

I did try the E3 diamond fire plugs for a while. worst week I ever had with the car. Poor gas mileage and missed like crazy. Thankfully I was able to get my $60 back.

I agree I've bought 4 sets of platinum in my life and always had trouble until this last set. I've never hadban issue with copper. But i was told I had to use platinims that copper won't last long in a cavalier because they were designed for platinums . It made sense I guess so I bought platinums lol

NGK is the only way to go.

FYI NGK makes AC Delco plugs.

I'm not saying your wrong at all but how do you know that? I've never heard that so if that's correct theres a hell of a cost difference.

I'm saying that because most AC Delco parts are made by someone else and reboxed. It has been on a net for a couple years now about NGK and AC Delco. Also seen a set of AC Delco's that had a NGK stamp on them.

2.2 OHV NGK stock#2683

This are not Iridium tips, but I believe V powers. Last much longer and work great.
