So today on my 98z my negative cable broke at the battery tray, bought a universal cable and now my car is acting all crazy on the gauge cluster, all idiot lights are on, rpm and temp work then don't work, acting all sporadic, now when I open my door with keys out, it beeps really really fast with nothing on! Please HELP
Ok , does the universal cable bolt to the body and the engine like the old one did ?
Sounds like a ground issue did u make sure connections are tight and contacted.
Sounds like you haven't grounded the engine, I watched a 5th gen prelude do exactly this when the guy didn't have the block grounded.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
Thanks all, universal cable just went from block to battery, threw a old speaker cable from negative to bolt in fender and now all is good.
