is this a sign off failing ac compressor?

so I dont know alot about ac stuff most the stuff I mess with doesn't have it. but I was doing my routine check and noticed with my stethoscope that my ac compressor sounded rough so I put a 3oz can of oil in and it quieted down but if your listening to it with the stethoscope and rev the engine it sill doesn't sounds very smooth. but without the stethoscope you can't hear anything. it blows cold and turns on and off fine and gets cold pretty quick I'm just not sure if a rough sounds like that is ok. it does have 210k on it . let me know your thoughts thanks guys

My thoughts you ask? If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

When the a/c clutch goes or starts to go, it will make an obnoxious metallic bearing noise. You will be able to hear it from a mile away (slightly exaggerated) but it will be loud.

Unless your experiencing poor a/c or a very loud noise, your fine.

Your fine man. If you have to use a stethoscope to hear it, then it's fine. Leave it alone until it does actually go, if it goes.
