Well new problem.. i got the engine all put back in and put some miles on it.. well today was the first day i got on it and it took off like a rocket well when i pushed the clutch in to slow back down before taking a corner it wouldnt idle it hunts between 900 and 1300 rpms.. engine still revs up fine.. also when its in gear it either goes or creates lag like when you hit the gas it takes right off but as soon as you let off the gas the front end kinda dips like if you where in a high rpm in a low gear... so im not sure i have the battery unhooked right now leting computer reset dout ill get that lucky but never know...

its got secret cams ported head intake headers full exhaust new crank and associated bearings and stage 3 clutch...

skiped timing orrr??

My car used to do this sometimes, didn't want to idle.. wanted to rev up and down a bit. Does your car go back down to a normal idle when your car is stopped? I know mine was goofy, it would idle high when slowing down out of gear clutch in.. then once the car came to a stop it would idle down. really weird, but it stopped doing it so I have no clue what was up.

This happens to my cavalier, my friend's eclipse, and my other friend's 3000gt.....i think it's normal aslong as it's not idling too high, highest mine does it is maybe 1400 until complete stop then its back to normal 900

I would say a small vac leak, or you might try cleaning the IAC a bit. IIRC, if you're rolling in neutral it should idle a bit higher til you stop, then drop down to 900.

i find it amusing that SHOoff has nothing better to do but follow me around & be an unhelpful dick in even cross-forum. - Jon Mick
