So I am clueless at this point. I'm trying to replace the ignition cylinder lock in my 2001 cav. Currently the lock is out but the other piece (I'm at a lack of description because I have no idea what it's called) is still in the "on" position, preventing the new lock from going in smoothly and correctly (I'm assuming?).

Anyone have any ideas on what needs to be done or any obvious fixes I'm just not seeing?
