I have no explanation for this one. The bulbs both look fine, yet neither work. The fuse is fine too. Does anyone know where the plug is on the manual tranny of an 04 Cavalier? That is my next check, along with ground points.
Reverse switch is on the transmission. if you turn the wheels all the way right you should be able to see it behind the drivers wheel. Possibly be able to completely fix it with out removing the wheel at all, but it is lots easier if you take it off first.
Hmm. I just did my front brakes myself. Earlier that day I let Meineke rape me on the backs. They did not report anything to me about the reverse lights. I wonder if while I was pounding off the rotor and constantly dropping the caliper, I damaged that. I will definitely take a look. Thanks a lot.
I doubt you would have done some thing to mess it up check your reverse switch and if that ain't it its probably the sockets. One can be bad and neither will work.
Id bet its the switch. they just go bad. trust me. Ive had 2 go bad on 2 separate transmissions... its common for them.
So I gave up on the tranny issue for a while, mainly because the car does not have to be in for inspection for another month. However, now I have no brake lights or turn signals. I wonder if they could be off a common ground?
