A couple weeks ago, I changed my upstream o2 sensor and the temp. cooling sensor at the same time. I made sure to disconnect the battery before installing these. After I was done installing these I reconnected the battery and started the car. It started normal but after a few seconds of idling it started bogging by itself, as if a vacuum line was disconnected, then it came back to normal idle and worked fine. Now it does this every time i start the car. I read somewhere here that you cant use any wire to extend the o2 sensor since I have an aftermarket header so i bought an extension kit from casper electronics. Any ideas what could be causing this problem? I've changed the o2 sensor about 3 times, had the fuel system cleaned, and still nothing.
I'm also interested to hear some solutions to this problem...This exact same thing is happening to me. I replaced the TPS sensor and the IAC sensor and it didn't do anything....my 2.4l sunfire will start fine, then bog down and usually die, but if I start it up a second time or rev it up before it dies, it runs fine...only happens like 50% of the time.
anything?...if i disconnect my o2 sensor this problem wont happen but of course the car's gas mileage sucks ass without the o2
I'm having this problem too right now.... any help would be very much appreciated.
so no one has ever solved this problem jbo?
Bump, I have the same problem.
