My 04 LS Sport showed 8.6% throttle at idle and 88.2% at wide open throttle. Swapped other known good TPS sensors on there and it was the same. I had a friend of mine grab an ECM from an automatic trans "new body style cavalier" for me to try. Swapped the ECM and the TPS was normal now. 0 at idle and 100% at WOT. Car didnt start so I did the passlock relearn, now it starts and runs normal, but it keeps throwing P1810 and P1815, both weird transmission codes. My friend swears the car he pulled the ECM from was an automatic, so not sure whats up with the codes. I have all the numbers off the ECMs if someone knew where to decode them from or had any thoughts. Much thanks for any ideas!

I'm reading the TPS through live data with my Craftsman OBD2 scanner.
I shot myself in the foot good on this one now. The ECM I pulled from the car had the correct part number but a weird alternate number that got only one hit online showing a 2002 application. The ECM my buddy got from a junkyard had the correct part and alternate number for my car, but a reflash costed $85.00+ tax and "what-ifs" quoting the dealer. A vendor on Ebay sells warrantied ECMs programmed to your VIN for less than that, so I went that route. Put the ECM in, relearned it, and the TPS is showing 8.6 and 88.2 again.
Is there any difference in TB's and TPS's between auto and manual or 03-05? I just cant figure out why the junkyard ECM showed the correct TPS values.

The reason I asked was with HP Tuners you have different options to read TPS. 1 of them will read just as you described. I just can't say with the craftsman reader.
