clunk when turning left or right (99 cav)

Hey guys... havent been on here in awhile (lucky me i guess! lol)

just hoping for a quick simple answer.... for the last few months, whenever i turn past a certain point (maybe half way to lock) left or right... i get a nice loud clunk..

if i turn right and get the clunk, the car tends to drift to the right until i make the left turn and clunk it back.. lol... and vice versa..

now im fairly knowledgeable... but that doesnt help me that i have a z24 and i cant fit under it... no jacks here or anything.. so does anyone have an idea what it is and what im looking at to have it fixed?

been laid off and my mechanic found a new job.... so i dont have the money to just blindly take it into some random garage... like to know if i can even afford to do it right now (xmas and all)

thanks,

Paul

Check your Ball joints if at all possible, if not them, move onto Stabilizer End Links, if no problems are visable, POSSIBLE control arm bushing issue (less likely), and the least likely possibility is it could be your wheel bearings.

Check(again if at all possible) things in that order. Go to auto Zone or Part Source or any auto store, and buy a set of those car ramps if you cannot afford a jack/stands. Hope that helps.
