i bought a clutch kit and it was for a sohc and i have the ecotec dohc.
please let me know im pissed now cause i bought it off craigslist cause im a college student with no incone,i dont wanna sale my jay just cause i cant afford a clutch for it!

well, you need to do some part number hunting as no cavalier ever came with a SOHC. so find out what you really have and go from there. if it turns out the clutch is for the OHV 2.2, then no, it will not work.

i know its a dual over head cam (dohc) but what cavy has over head valves (OHV). i didnt think sfi had the cam in the block?

The 2200/2.2OHV are the same OHV engine with mild differences between the two. The 2.3L Quad4, 2.4L Twin Cam, and 2.2L Ecotec are all DOHC engines.
