hinges

i know its been discussed before but my drivers door is hanging cause of both weight of the door and a fair amount of leaning on it. wondering if there are heavy duty hinges that will fit on a 02 cavalier 2 door or if it would be better if i just go to the junk yard and get hinges from a 4 door since i read on a post here that the 2 door and the 4 door are the same hinge wondering which would be better.

I fail to see if they are the same hinge how one would be better? If anything the hinge from a 2 door would be better as due to leverage there'd be more stress on the hinge. As far as I'm aware, there are no aftermarket hinges for your cars, so you'd have to make something if you wanted it stronger.

As Rich Grayo Jr. stated I doubt there are any aftermarket hinges. I don't see why you would need anything stronger than factory unless you are planning to put armour on your car. Just get a set from a salvage yard for like $5 a piece and stop trying to hang yourself from your car door.

whoever services your car; make sure they are lubing the door pins.
