I recently had my alternator go bad. upon taking it out the nut on the "hot" or positive wire was so tight that it ripped the metal connector off the wire. now i cant find that wire. any ideas on how to kinda bypass the hot wire like have the positive directly connected to the positive terminal on the battery? where does the hot wire connected from?
so basically what im saying is where does the positive wire that is held on by the nut and stud thats covered by the rubber elbow run to. i broke the O metal end off and cant find the wire it broke off of
it runs to the starter solenoid.
There should be 2 wires at the big terminal at the solenoid. One red wire runs from the battery + post to the solenoid. The second should have a grey fusible link that connects to another red wire....that runs to the alternator.
thanks man that is much appreciated!
