engine light not working

So i got my car inspected and it threw a couple codes...on i already fixed the iat sensor...and the other one i guess because the check engine light doesnt light up...can i replace just the bulb? If so shat size. Thanks guys

This would require removal of the cluster..... if this is really the problem...

What else could cause the light not to light up besides a bad bulb

Hey Jason, The light should come on when you first turn your car to ON. If it does not, then it is messed up... If it does come on, then unplug something like your 02 sensor or IAT valve and start her up. This will basically pop a code and see if your light is doing the right thing. Most of the bulbs in our clusters are LED's. They normally outlast the car, but it is possible for it to burn out. If it does not light up, then you will most likely have to solder some more in. I personally have no idea what could NOT make it light up other than a bad LED in the cluster... or the cluster itself.... Hope I kinda helped, lol.

Thats what i figured...it doesnt come on when the key is turned and that makes it flip a code when i go to get it inspected ....i didnt think that u could replace the bulb itself damn
